1. Download the YASR5126.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the YASR5126.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "YAMAHA PCI DS-XG Audio Driver - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Next. A Command Prompt box will appear as the files are installed. Once finished, the Command Prompt box will close automatically.
   NOTE: If a "Welcome" screen appears prompting to "Modify, repair, or remove the program", you have already installed this update. Follow the steps in the Uninstall Instructions section for steps to uninstall the existing files. Once these files have been removed, repeat steps 4-6 to reinstall the update.
4. At the "Setup Complete" screen, verify that "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" is selected and click Finish.

As the computer restarts, the installation of the audio driver is complete.

Uninstall Instructions

If it is necessary to reinstall the YAMAHA DS-XG PCI Audio driver, you will need to first remove the YASR5126.EXE installation files. To do so, please follow these steps:

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.
2. At the "Control Panel" window, double-click Add/Remove Programs icon.
3. At the "Add/Remove Programs" window, click the "YAMAHA Audio 5.12.01.2226" entry to highlight it.
4. Click the "Change/Remove" button.
5. At the "InstallShield Wizard" box, select "Remove" and click Next to remove the components.
6. At the "Confirm File Deletion" box, click OK.
   NOTE: If a "ReadOnly File Detected" message box appears, click the box next to "Don't display this message again" to check it and then click Yes.
7. At the "Maintenance Complete" screen, click Finish.

The uninstallation process is complete. You may redownload and reinstall the YASR5126.EXE file.

This utility installs the Yamaha PCI DS-XG Audio Driver.

• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
