1. Download the YAH5125.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the YAH5125.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "YAMAHA PCI DS-XG Audio Driver - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Next. A Command Prompt box will appear as the files are installed. Once finished, the Command Prompt box will close automatically.
4. At the "Digital Signature Not Found" screen, click Yes to continue the installation. A Command Prompt box will appear as the files are installed. Once finished, the Command Prompt box will close automatically.
   NOTE: If a "Welcome" screen appears prompting to "Modify, repair, or remove the program", you have already installed this update. Follow the steps in the Uninstall Section at the bottom of this page for steps to uninstall the existing files. Once these files have been removed, repeat steps 4-7 to reinstall the update.
5. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, verify that "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" is selected and click Finish.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the audio driver is complete.

Uninstall Instructions

If it is necessary to install the YAMAHA DS-XG PCI Audio driver again, you will need to first remove the YAH5125.EXE installation files. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Go to the directory where the YAH5125.EXE file was downloaded and double-click it.
2. At the "Welcome" screen, click "Remove" and then click Next.
3. At the "Confirm File Deletion" box, click OK to remove all of the components.
   NOTE: If a "ReadOnly File Detected" message box appears, click the box next to "Don't display this message again" to check it and then click Yes.
4. At the "Maintenance Complete" screen, click Finish.

The uninstallation is complete. You may now redownload and reinstall the YAH5125.EXE file.

This utility installs the Yamaha PCI DS-XG Audio Driver.

• If a Windows 2000 BIOS update is available for your model of computer, be sure to install it before installing this update.
• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
