1. Download the WNDVDFIX.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. If you had previous adjusted the volume level to the maximum, reset the volume level back to the mid-range level:
   1. Click Start, point to Programs, and point to the InterVideo WinDVD folder.
   2. From the InterVideo WinDVD menu, click InterVideo WinDVD. The WinDVD application will open a viewing window and a control console.
   3. At the control console, verify that the volume control level is no higher than halfway. If the volume level is higher than halfway, adjust the volume control level to halfway or less. NOTE: If the WinDVD volume level is not set lower than halfway before installing this update, DVD movies may play excessively loud (until you readjust the volume level).
   4. Click the X in the top-right corner of the either the console or the viewing window to close the WinDVD application.
3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the WNDVDFIX.EXE file to begin the installation.
4. At the "Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for WinDVD Update" screen, click Next.
5. At the "InterVideo WinDVD Application Software install is complete" screen, verify that "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" is selected and then click Finish.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the InterVideo WinDVD update is complete.

This program resolves the issue where the InterVideo WinDVD DVD Player volume is too low.

• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
