Download & Install Guide:
- Download the V14A.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
- Go to the folder where the V14A.EXE file was downloaded and double-click on the V14A.EXE file. This file will self-extract into four files.
- Close the MS-DOS window.
- Double-click on INSTALL14.BAT.
- INSTALL14.BAT will unpack the files required for the upgrade procedure and execute the UPGRADE command.
- The Uninstall operation will begin. Click on YES when prompted to remove old modem drivers.
- Click on OK to restart Windows 95.
- When system restarts, it will automatically install the new modem drivers. You may have to close some windows to see the modem installation dialog box.
- You will be prompted to once again restart Windows 95. Click on OK to restart.
- The computer will restart with the new modem drivers installed.

This utility installs updated modem software.
Important Note:
- This update will ONLY install the new 1.4a software if it detects a current version of 1.2x software running on your computer. If the version 1.2x software has been removed or previously updated, it must be reinstalled before this update can be installed.
- If you are prompted by Windows 95 to insert a Windows 95 installation disk during this procedure, instead type C:WINDOWSOPTIONSCABS in the "Copy files from:" line and click on OK.
- You may wish to save the file V14A.EXE should you ever need to restore these modem drivers.
- To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
- It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
