1. Download the UETH304K.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the UETH304K.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "KLSI USB-Ethernet Driver v3.04 for Windows 2000 - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Next. Several setup boxes will briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
4. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" and click Finish.
5. After the computer restarts, connect the PCGA-PRF1 or PCGA-PRF1A Port Replicator to the computer. Please wait as the system detecting the hardware and installs the drivers.
   NOTE: If a "Digital Signature Not Found" box appears, click Yes.

The installation of the Kawasaki LSI USB-Ethernet Driver is complete.

Uninstall Instructions

If it is necessary to reinstall the Kawasaki LSI USB-Ethernet Driver, you will need to first remove the UETH304K.EXE installation files. To do so, please follow these steps:

1. Click Start, point to Settings, point and click Control Panel.
2. At the "Control Panel" window, double-click Add/Remove Programs.
3. At the "Add/Remove Programs" window, from the list of installed applications, click the "KLSI USB-Ethernet Driver 3.04.0000.0000 Win2K" entry.
4. Click the "Change/Remove" button. Please wait as the files are uninstalled.
5. Click Close to exit the "Add/Remove Programs" box.
6. At the Taskbar, in the status area next to the time, double-click the Unplug or Eject Hardware icon (it will look like a gray PCMCIA card with a green arrow).
7. At the "Unplug or Eject Hardware" box, in the "Hardware devices:" listing, double-click the "Klsi USB-Ethernet Device Adapter" entry.
8. At the "Stop a Hardware device" box, click OK to confirm the selection.
9. At the "Safe To Remove Hardware" box, click OK.
10. Click Close to exit the "Unplug or Eject Hardware" box.
11. Disconnect the port replicator from the computer.

After the computer restarts, the uninstallation process is complete. You may redownload and reinstall the UETH304K.EXE file.

This utility installs the Kawasaki LSI USB-Ethernet driver.

• Before installing Windows 2000 Professional or this update, please be sure to read Installing the Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Operating System. Most of Sony's Windows 2000 software updates require you to install Windows 2000 Professional in C:WINNT. If Windows 2000 is not installed in this location, these updates will not install correctly.
• Before installing this update, be sure that the computer is not currently connected to the PCGA-PRF1 or PCGA-PRF1A Port Replicator.
• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
