1. Download the SOR116XNA5.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SOR116XNA5.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "Sony 32 BIOS Optical Drive Driver For Windows XP and Windows 2000" Click Next. Several setup boxes may briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
   NOTE:  If an "Information" box appears prompting you to reboot to verify the system model, click OK. After the computer restarts, please continue with step 5 above.
4. At the "Setup Complete" screen, verify that "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" is selected and then click Finish.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the Sony CardBus ATA PC Card Driver is complete.

This utility installs the WHQL-certified Sony CardBus ATA PC Card driver for the Sony VAIO PCGA-CDRW51, PCGA-CDRW52 and PCGA-DVD51 external optical drives.

• Before installing this update, be sure that the Sony VAIO PCGA-CDRW51, PCGA-CDRW52, or PCGA-DVD51 external optical drive is connected to the computer.
• Please read the Sony Windows® XP Upgrade Information page, if the computer will be or has been upgraded to the Windows® XP operating system. If the new operating system is not installed or configured correctly, some updates may not install properly.
• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
