1. Download the SOP10KKNC3.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SOP10KKNC3.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "SONY® PowerPanel - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Next.
   Several setup boxes will briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
   NOTE:  If an "Information" box appears prompting you to reboot to verify the system model, click OK. After the computer restarts, please continue with step 5 above.
   NOTE:  If an "Overwrite Protection" screen appears, click "No to All."
4. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, verify "Yes, I want to restart my computer now." and click Finish to restart the computer.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the SONY® PowerPanel Utility is complete.

• To install correctly, this utility requires the following drivers to already be installed:
  • Sony Notebook Control Device Driver
  • Sony Programmable I/O Device Driver
  • Sony Utilities Dynamic Link Library
  • Sony Shared Library
  Please check the files listed for your computer and install these utilities before continuing with this update.
• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
