1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
2. Download the SOAVTL-01039300-US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SOAVTL-01039300-US.EXE file to begin the installation.
4. At the "Sony® TV Tuner Library Update Program for Microsoft® Windows® XP" screen, click "Next".
5. At the "License Agreement" dialog, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click "I Agree" to continue with the installation.
   NOTE: Several setup boxes may briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
6. At the "Finished" box, click "Finish".
7. At the "Install" box, Click "OK" to restart the computer.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the Sony® TV Tuner Library Update is complete.

This utility installs an updated version of the Sony® TV Tuner Library to address the error, "TV Tuner in use by another application".

• Before installing this update, make sure that Microsoft® Windows® Media Center is closed. Do not perform the installation when a previously set timer recording is in progress.
• During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
