1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
2. Download the SOASMS-00897000-US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SOASMS-00897000-US.EXE file to begin the installation.
4. At the "SonicStage Mastering Studio Audio Filter Update Utility for Microsoft® Window..." screen, click "Next".
5. At the "License Agreement" dialog, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click "I Agree" to continue with the installation.
6. At "InstallShield Wizard" box, click "Next".
7. At "Finished" box, click "Finish".
8. At the "Install" box, Click "OK" to restart your computer.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the SonicStage Mastering Studio Audio Filter update is complete.

This utility updates the SonicStage® Mastering Studio Audio Filter to version 1.4.02.12210 and resolves the following issues:

• Part of the program user interface remains on desktop after closing the window.
• The filter occasionally freezes for up to one minute.
• Noise at the beginning of 8 bit file playback when using DirectSound.
• With a Hyperthreaded CPU, disconnecting USB speakers causes abnormal termination of Microsoft® Windows Explorer.
• Presets disappear if the properties of a specific folder are modified when "Allow unsupported programs to use SonicStage Mastering Studio Audio Filter" is checked from settings dialog of Audio Filter.
• Lip-sync problems during video playback.
• Noise and breaking sound in some media players, or with some media content.
• S/PDIF and USB speaker output problems.
• Volume control icon in the task tray disappears.
• Volume control problem with USB/Wireless keyboards.

• The following settings will no longer be available in the SonicStage Mastering Studio Audio Filter after this update is installed:
  • "Allow unsupported programs to use Sonic Stage Mastering Studio Audio Filter" setting
  • "Output Sound playback device" setting
• If you have SonicStage® Mastering Studio Audio Filter version 1.1 installed, it is necessary to restart the computer, when prompted, in the middle of installation of this update. After restarting, the setup will automatically continue.
• If a shared file detection dialog appears while uninstalling an older version of SonicStage Mastering Studio Audio Filter, click "Yes" to delete the file.
• Please turn off or exit "Audio Filter" while using video/audio editing software.
• During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
