1. Download the SOAOTH-00840200-US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SOAOTH-00840200-US.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "Sony Utilities DLL and Hotkey Utility update for Microsoft® Windows® XP" screen, click "Next".
4. At the "License Agreement" dialog, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click "I Agree" to continue with the installation.
   NOTE: Several setup boxes may briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
5. At the "Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for Sony Utilities DLL" box, click "Next".
6. At "InstallShield Wizard Complete" box, click "Finish" to restart the computer.
   NOTE: Please wait for the HotKey Update to start after the computer restarts.
7. At the "Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for HotKey Utility" box, click "Next".
8. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" box, click "Finish".

The installation of the Sony® Utilities DLL and HotKey Utility Update is complete.

This utility updates the Sony® Utilities DLL to Version 5.1.0.9100 and the HotKey Utility to version 4.1.1.6290 to enable the brightness control (FN+F5 key) on the VGP-WKB1 wireless keyboard.

• During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
