1. Download the SO-Z10000802EN04US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double click the SO-Z10000802EN04US.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "Sony® Video Hotkey Registry Patch for Microsoft® Windows® XP" box, click Next.
4. At the "License Agreement" dialog box, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click "I Agree".
5. At the "Finish" screen, click Finish.

The installation of the Sony® Video Hotkey Registry Patch is complete.

This utility resolves the issue where, after installing the Microsoft® Windows® XP Operating System Service Pack 2, a blue screen appears when an external monitor is attached to the notebook computer and the Fn and F7 keys are pressed to switch the video display to the external monitor.

• It is recommended that you install this update prior to installing the Microsoft® Windows XP® operating system Service Pack 2.
• During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
