1. Download the SNC6SP01.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SNC6SP01.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "Sony Notebook Control Device Driver for Windows Me & 2000 - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Next. Several setup boxes will briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
4. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now," and click Finish.
5. As the computer restarts, the Sony Notebook Control Device hardware will be redetected and the updated drivers will be installed.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the updated audio driver is complete.

Uninstall Instructions

If it is necessary to reinstall the SNC6SP01.EXE file, you will need to first remove the existing SNC6SP01.EXE installation files. Please follow these steps:

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then point to Control Panel.
2. At the "Control Panel" menu, click Add/Remove Programs icon.
3. At the "Add/Remove Programs Properties" window, from the list of installed applications, click to highlight the "Sony Notebook Control Device Driver 6.0 for Windows Me and 2000" entry.
4. Click the "Add/Remove..." button.
5. At the "Question" window, click Yes. Please wait as the files are uninstalled.
6. At the "Add/Remove Programs Properties" window, click OK.

The removal of the Sony Notebook Control Device Driver in Windows Millennium Edition is complete. You may now download and install the SNC6SP01.EXE file again.
