1. Download the SIS106F.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SIS106F.EXE file to begin the installation. Please wait as the temporary installation files are extracted. Once extracted, the SiS630 Multimedia Package Setup program will launch.
3. At the "Welcome" box, click Next to continue.
4. At the "Setup Type" box, select "Typical".
5. Leave the "Destination Folder" as listed and click Next.
6. At the "Select Program Folder" box, leave the "Program Folders" field as listed (SiS630 V1.06F) and click Next.
7. At the "Start Copying Files" box, click Next. Please wait as the driver files are installed.
8. At the "Setup Complete" screen, verify that "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" is selected and click Finish.
9. The installation of the updated drivers will reconfigure the video settings. To change the video settings to the preferred settings, please follow the steps below.
   1. Click Start, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.
   2. At the "Control Panel" window, double-click the Display icon.
   3. At the "Display Properties" box, click the Settings tab.
   4. In the Settings tab, in the "Screen area" section, adjust the slider to your preferred resolution (if different than the current resolution).
   5. In the "Colors" section, click the down-arrow and select your preferred color depth (if different than the current resolution).
   6. Click the Apply button.
   7. At the "Display Properties" message box, click OK to resize the Desktop. The screen may flicker or turn black briefly as the resolution is resized.
   8. At the "Monitor settings" confirmation box, click Yes to accept the new resolution.
   9. The installation of the SiS630 drivers also installs a SiS Multimedia wallpaper.
      • If you wish to change the SiS Multimedia wallpaper to a different wallpaper, continue with step J.
      • If you wish to leave the SiS Multimedia wallpaper, skip to step N.
   10. Click the Background tab.
   11. In the Background tab, the SiS630 Multimedia wallpaper will be selected ("setup"). Scroll through the available wallpapers and select one to preview it in the monitor above.
   12. Once you have selected a new wallpaper, click Apply.
   13. If an "Internet Explorer" message box appears, click Yes to enable Active Desktop.
   14. Click OK to close the "Display Properties" box.
   15. Click the X in the top-right corner to close the "Control Panel" window.

The installation of the SiS630 Video Driver is now complete.

This utility will install the SiS630 Video Driver, Version 1.06F for the Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Professional Operating System

• Before installing Windows 2000 Professional or this update, please be sure to read Installing the Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Operating System. Most of Sony's Windows 2000 software updates require you to install Windows 2000 Professional in C:WINNT. If Windows 2000 is not installed in this location, these updates will not install correctly.
• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
