1. Download the SA-4T1020E01LI.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SA-4T1020E01LI.EXE file to begin the installation. Several setup boxes will briefly appear as the files are extracted and the computer model and CD-ROM Drive are identified. As these processes complete, the boxes will close automatically.
3. The Firmware update utility will automatically launch and the Samsung® CDRW/DVD-ROM Drive firmware will be updated.
4. At the "Download OK, Restart Windows" message, click OK.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the Samsung® SM-308B CDRW/DVD-ROM Drive Firmware Update Utility is complete.

Installing a program from a CD in the Samsung® SM-308B CDRW/DVD-ROM Drive occasionally fails.

• For Windows XP and Windows 2000 systems only: During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
