1. WARNING!!: Before installing this update, be sure the computer is running from AC power. If the installation of the BIOS is interrupted by power loss, the computer may not operate correctly or at all!
2. Before installing this update, make sure all other programs are closed, and all peripherals are disconnected.
3. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
4. Download the PHBSYS-00775107-UN.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
5. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the PHBSYS-00775107-UN.EXE file to begin the installation.
6. At the "Phoenix® BIOS Update Utility for Microsoft Windows XP" screen, click "Next".
7. At the "License Agreement" dialog, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click "I Agree" to continue with the installation.
   NOTE: Please wait while the utility extracts the necessary files for the update.
8. At the "Phoenix WinPhlash for VAIO" box, click "Browse".
9. At the "Specify the New BIOS File" box, double click the "R0072G4.WPH" file.
   NOTE: The text box below "Specify new BIOS file:" should display "R0072G4.WPH".
10. Click "FlashBIOS" to begin the BIOS update.
11. At the "Phoenix WinPhlash for VAIO" Warning box, click "OK" to proceed with the BIOS update.
    NOTE: Please wait while the utility updates the BIOS.
12. At the "System BIOS was successfully updated" screen, click "Shutdown".
13. After the computer shuts down, wait for a few seconds, and then power on the computer.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the BIOS update is complete.

This utility updates the Phoenix® BIOS to version R0072G4, and addresses an issue with occasional graphic corruption.
