1. Download the OPL3SAX1.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double click the OPL3SAX1.EXE file to begin the installation. Verify "Unzip to Folder location" is C:WindowsTemp.
3. Click Unzip.
4. Click Close.
5. Click Start>Settings>Control Panel.
6. Double click the System icon.
7. Select the "Device Manager" tab.
8. Click the plus sign next to "Sound, Video and Game controllers".
9. Double click "Yamaha OPL3-SAx WDM Driver".
10. Select the "Driver" tab.
11. Click "Update Driver".
12. Click Next.
13. Select "Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location".
14. Double click "Yamaha OPL3-SA Sound system".
15. Click Next.
16. At the "Update Driver" warning, click Yes.
17. Click Next.
18. At the "insert Disk" box, click OK.
19. At the "copy files from" box, type C:windows emp .
20. Click OK.
21. Click Finish.
22. Click OK to restart your computer.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the YAMAHA Audio device drivers is complete.

This utility installs the Yamaha® Audio device drivers for compatibility with the Microsoft® Windows® 98 operating system.

• During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
