1. Download the NETME.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference)
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the NETME.EXE file to begin the installation
3. At the "Intel 82557-based PCI Ethernet Adapter Driver Utility for Microsoft Windows Millennium - Welcome" box, click Continue. Several setup boxes will briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
4. At the "Setup Complete" screen, select "Yes, I want to retart my computer now" and then click Finish. As the computer restarts, the Ethernet Adapter hardware will be detected and the updated drivers will be installed.
   NOTE:  If a "Confirm File Deletion" box appears, this file may already be installed on the computer. Click OK to remove the existing files and then repeat steps 4-7 to reinstall the update.
5. At the "System Settings Change" box, click Yes to restart the system again.

After computer restarts this second time, the Ethernet Adapter Driver installation is complete.

This utility installs the Intel® 82557-based PCI Ethernet Adapter Driver for computers that have been upgraded to the Windows® Me operating system.

• Before installing Windows Millennium Edition or Sony's Windows Me software updates, please read Sony's Installing the Microsoft® Windows® Me Operating System. If the computer operating system is not upgraded following the Sony recommended process, many updates and drivers will not install or cause unintended results.
• If a BIOS update for the Windows Me operating system is available for your computer model, please install it before installing this update.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
