1. Download the MSHAKER.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the MSHAKER.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "MovieShaker Update Utility - Welcome" box, click Continue. Several setup boxes will appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically. The MovieShaker Shaker Patch Setup program will launch.
4. At the "Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for MovieShaker Shaker Patch" screen, click Next.
5. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, click Finish.
6. At the "Setup Complete" screen, select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now." and click Finish.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the MovieShaker update utility is complete.

Known Issues

1. For optimal results, do not play movie clips using the MovieShaker preview panel. The MovieShaker preview panel may not display movie clips correctly and/or keep the audio and video synchronized. During playback, it may also display white screens or lost/dropped frames. To view a MovieShaker movie clip, you need to export it from MovieShaker to another movie format (do NOT use Quick-Save). Once exported, double-click the movie clip file and Media Bar will play it.
2. Do not save movie clips using the Quick-Save format. If you export a movie clip and save it by using Quick-Save format, it may display white screens or lost/dropped frames.

Uninstall Information

If it is necessary to reinstall the MovieShaker utility, you will need to first remove the MSHAKER.EXE installation files. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Go to the directory where the MSHAKER.EXE file was downloaded and double-click it.
2. At the "MovieShaker Update Utility - Welcome" box, click Continue.
3. At the "Confirm File Deletion" box, click OK to remove all of its components.
4. Double-click the MSHAKER.EXE file once again.
5. At the "Confirm File Deletion" box, click OK to remove all of its components.
6. At the "MovieShaker Update Utility - Welcome" box, click Continue.
7. At the "ReadOnly File Detected" box, select "Don't display this message again" and click Yes.
8. At the "Setup Complete" screen, select "No, I will restart my computer later." and click Finish.
9. Double-click the MSHAKER.EXE file the last time.
10. At the "MovieShaker Update Utility - Welcome" box, click Continue.
11. At the "Confirm File Deletion" box, click OK to remove all of its components.

The uninstallation of the MovieShaker Update Utility is now complete. You may redownload and reinstall the MSHAKER.EXE file.

This utility resolves the issue where Windows Media Player and Sony Media Bar applets drop/lose frames, display erroneous white frames or generate error messages while playing movie clips processd by the MovieShaker application.

• For Windows 2000 systems only: During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
