1. Download the MDVD321XP.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the MDVD321XP.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. Please follow the on-screen prompts carefully to complete the installation. After the installation is complete, restart the computer.

NOTE: If it is necessary to reinstall this version of Media Bar, you must first uninstall the previous installation. Steps to uninstall are listed below:

1. Click Start and click Control Panel.
2. At the "Control Panel" window, click the Add or Remove Programs category.
3. At the "Add or Remove Programs" box, from the list of "Currently installed applications", click the "Media Bar 3.2.11" entry.
4. Click the "Change/Remove" button.
5. At "Confirm File Deletion" box, click OK. Please wait as the files are uninstalled.
6. At the "Maintenance Complete" screen, click Finish.
7. Click Close to exit the "Add or Remove Programs" box.
8. Click the X in the top-right corner to close the "Control Panel" window.
9. Restart the computer.

After the computer restarts, this Media Bar update may be reinstalled.

• Please read the Sony Windows® XP Upgrade Information page, if the computer will be or has been upgraded to the Windows® XP operating system. If the new operating system is not installed or configured correctly, some updates may not install properly.
• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
