1. Download the MDM213F2K.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the MDM213F2K.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "Conexant SoftK56 Data/Fax PCI Modem Driver Utility - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Next. Several setup boxes will briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
   NOTE: If a "Confirm File Deletion" box appears, you have already installed this update. Click OK to remove the existing installation files and then repeat steps 4-7 to reinstall the update.
   NOTE: If a "Digital Signature Not Found" box appears, click Yes to install the driver files.
4. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" and click Finish. As the computer restarts, the video hardware will be redetected and the drivers will be installed.

The installation of the modem driver is complete.

Uninstall Instructions

If it is necessary to reinstall the Conexant SoftK56 Data/Fax PCI Modem Driver, you will need to first remove the MDM213F2K.EXE installation files. To do so, please follow these steps:

1. Go to the directory where the MDM213F2K.EXE file was downloaded and double-click it.
2. At the "Conexant SoftK56 Data/Fax PCI Modem Driver Utility - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Next.
3. At the "Confirm File Deletion" window, click OK to remove all of its components.
4. At the "ReadOnly File Detected" window, check the "Don't display this message again" box and click Yes. Please wait as the installation files are removed.

The uninstallation process is complete. You may redownload and reinstall the MDM213F2K.EXE file.

• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
