1. Download the MDM21308.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the MDM21308.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "Conexant SoftK56 Data/Fax PCI Modem Driver Utility - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Continue. Several setup boxes will briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
   NOTE: If a "Confirm File Deletion" box appears, you have already installed this update. Click OK to remove the existing installation files and then repeat steps 4-7 to reinstall the update.
4. At the "Digital Signature Not Found" box, click Yes.
5. At the "Setup Complete" screen, select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" and click Finish. As the computer restarts, the modem hardware will be redetected and the updated drivers will be installed.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the Conexant SoftK56 Data/Fax PCI Modem Driver is complete.

• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
