1. Download the MBPATCH.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the MBPATCH.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "Media Bar 3.0 CDDB2 Upgrade Patch Utility - Welcome" box, click Continue. Several setup boxes will appear during the installation of the driver setup files. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
   NOTE: If a "Confirm File Deletion" box appears, you have already installed this update. Click OK to remove the existing installation files and then repeat steps 4-9 to reinstall the update.
4. At the "Welcome" box, click Next. Please wait as the upgrade files are installed.
5. At the "Setup Complete" message box, click OK. The Media Bar CDDB2 Upgrade help file will be displayed.
6. Click the X or the minus (-) in the top-right corner to close or minimize (respectively) the "Help for Media Bar Ver.3.0 CDDB2 upgrade" window.
   NOTE: If the help window is closed, it can be reopened later by clicking "New CDDB Help" in the Media Bar folder of the Start menu.
7. At the "Setup Complete" screen, click Finish.

The installation of the Sony Media Bar 3.0 CDDB2 Upgrade is now complete.

Uninstall Instructions

If it is necessary to reinstall the Sony Media Bar 3.0 CDDB2 Upgrade, you will need to first remove the MBPATCH.EXE installation files. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Go to the directory where the MBPATCH.EXE file was downloaded and double-click it.
2. At the "Media Bar 3.0 CDDB2 Upgrade Patch Utility - Welcome" box, click Continue.
3. At the "Confirm File Deletion" window, click OK to remove all of its components. Please wait as the installation files are removed.

The uninstallation process is complete. You may redownload and reinstall the MBPATCH.EXE file.

This utility installs the Sony Media Bar 3.0 CDDB2 Upgrade.

• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
