1. Download the LA-911540802FG04US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double click the LA-911540802FG04US.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "LAN-Express Wireless LAN Adapter Driver Update for Microsoft® Windows® XP" screen, click Next.
4. At the "License Agreement" screen, read the agreement and then, if you agree, click "I Agree."
5. At the "Uninstall Current Wireless LAN Driver" box, click OK.
6. At the "InstallShield Wizard-Modify, repair, or remove the program" box, select Remove and then click Next.
7. At the "Confirm Uninstall" box, click OK.
8. At the "Maintenance Complete" box, click Finish to restart computer.
   NOTE: After the computer restarts, the Wireless LAN driver update will automatically launch.
9. At the "Finished" box, click Finish.
10. At the "Install" box, click OK to restart computer again.

The installation of the LAN-Express IEEE 802.11 Wireless LAN Adapter driver update is complete.

After the computer restarts, please follow the remaining steps below to reconnect to the wireless network.

11. At the Windows Desktop, click Start and then click "Control Panel."
12. At the "Control Panel" window, click "Network and Internet Connection Panel" icon.
13. At the "Network and Control Panel" window, under "or click a control panel icon," click "Network Connections."
14. At the "Network Connections" window, click the disconnected Wireless connection icon.
15. Select the Wireless Network.
16. Type in the Network Key and then click Connect.

The Wireless network should now be reconnected.

This utility updates the LAN-Express IEEE 802.11 Wireless LAN Adapter driver to improve connectivity with a Wireless Access Point.

• It will be necessary to reconnect to the wireless network after installing this update.
• During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
