1. Download the INM0681NAG.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the INM0681NAG.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "Intel® PRO/100 VE Network Controller Driver - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Next. Several setup boxes will briefly appear as the files are extracted and the computer model is identified. As these processes complete, the boxes will close automatically.

The rest of the install procedure is dependent upon the operating system installed on your computer. Please follow the appropriate steps below for your operating system.

Windows® ME

1. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" (if it isn't already selected) and click Finish. As the computer restarts, the network hardware will be redetected and the updated drivers will be installed.
2. At the "System Settings Change" screen, click "Yes" to restart the computer.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the Intel® PRO/100 VE Network Controller Driver for the Microsoft Windows Me Operating System is complete.

Windows® 2000 Professional

1. If there is an "Information" screen, click OK.
   NOTE: For the Windows 2000 Clean Install system only: The system will reboot to confirm the system model. After the computer reboots, please continue at step 5 above.
2. At the "Digital Signature Not Found" window, click Yes.
3. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" (if it isn't already selected) and click Finish.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the Intel® PRO/100 VE Network Controller Driver for the Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional Operating System is complete.

• For Windows 2000 systems only: During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
