1. Download the COC533XNKM.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the COC533XNKM.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "Conexant-Ambit SoftK56 Data/Fax Modem Driver - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Next. Several setup boxes will briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
   NOTE: If a "Software Status" box appears prompting you to continue the installation, click OK. Otherwise, please continue with step 6 below.
4. At the "Hardware Installation" box, click Continue Anyway to install the unsigned driver. Please wait as the driver files are installed.
5. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" (if it isn't already selected) and click Finish.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the modem driver is complete.

• Please read the Sony Windows® XP Upgrade Information page, if the computer will be or has been upgraded to the Windows® XP operating system. If the new operating system is not installed or configured correctly, some updates may not install properly.
• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
