Download & Install Guide:
- Download the CDW51.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
- Verify that the PCGA-CDRW51 drive is connected to AC power and the gray mode selector switch on the bottom is set to "CardBus" and not "Recovery."
NOTE: The driver will not be installed correctly if the mode selector is set to "Recovery." - Insert the PCGA-CDRW51 PC Card adapter into the notebook's PC Card slot.
- At the "Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard" screen, click Cancel.
- Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the CDW51.EXE file to begin the installation.
- At the "Sony PCGA-CDRW51 CD-RW driver - Welcome" box, click Continue.
- At the "Digital Signature Not Found" screen, click Yes. A Command Prompt box will appear as the files are installed. Once finished, the Command Prompt box will close automatically.
- If a "Completing the Found New Hardware Wizard" screen appears, click Finish.
- At the "Setup Complete" screen, confirm that "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" is selected and then click Finish.

This utility installs the Sony CardBus ATA PC Card device driver to provide operating system compatibility for the PCGA-CDRW51 CD-RW drive.
Important Note:
- During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
