Download & Install Guide:
- Download the AW-A20040601BL.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).

- Remove the floppy disk from the floppy drive.
- Press the power button to turn off the computer.
- Please wait for 5 seconds and then turn on the system.
- At the black SONY logo screen, press the F2 key.
- At the "AwardBIOS Setup Utility" screen, press the F5 key to load the Setup Defaults.
- At the "Setup Confirmation" box, use the left or right arrow key to select Yes and then press ENTER.
- Press the F10 key to save the changes and exit.
- At the "Setup Confirmation" box, use the left or right arrow key to select Yes and then press ENTER.
What this drivers do:
This utility updates the computer system BIOS and resolves the following issues:
- An error message "Hardware Monitor Error: MB Temp" appears during computer start up.
- PCMCIA Cards do not operate when the system is first started.
Important Note:
- To install this update you will need a 3½" bootable floppy disk. To prepare a bootable floppy disk for Windows Me, please follow Sony's Creating Formatted and Bootable Disks for Windows Millennium Edition. You will also need to connect the USB floppy disk drive (sold separately) to the system.
- To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
- It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
