1. Download the ALP503KB.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the ALP503KB.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "Alps 5.3.503K.2b Mouse Driver - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Next. Several setup boxes will briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
4. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, verify that "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" is selected and then click Finish. As the computer restarts, the touchpad hardware will be redetected and the drivers will be installed.

The installation of the Alps Pointing Device Driver is now complete.

This program installs the Alps® Pointing Device (Touchpad) driver and control utility.

• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
