NOTE: It is recommended to install both utilities if you have a clean installation of Windows XP. To install the Bluetooth driver, you will need to have the Windows XP Service Pack 1 preinstalled.
- At the "Bluetooth Driver Utility has successfully installed, This utility will now install the Virtual COM Port Driver" box, click OK. The Hardware Wizard for Bluetooth Virtual COM Port will launch shortly. If the Bluetooth Virtual COM Port is already installed, the Hardware Wizard will not launch, click Finish to complete the installation.
- At the "Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard for Bluetooth Virtual COM4" box, click Next.
- At the "Complete Found New Hardware Wizard" box, click Finish.
What this drivers do:
This utility will install the originally shipped version of Bluetooth driver and Blue Space NE utility for the Microsoft® Windows® XP operating systems with Service Pack 1.
Important Note:
- Before installing the Bluetooth driver, the Microsoft® Windows® XP operating system Service Pack 1 must be installed.
- Because of installation requirements, the Bluetooth driver utility will install the Microsoft Windows QFE Q323183 and Q811228, and the Blue Space NE utility will install the Sony® Share Library.
- During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
- To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
- It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
