Uninstallation Instructions

Before installing the ADOSAMP.EXE update, you must first uninstall Adobe PhotoDeluxe. To do so, please follow the steps below.

1. Click Start, point to Programs, and point to Adobe.
   NOTE: If the Adobe folder is not visible from the Programs menu, click the double arrows at the bottom of the menu to display the remaining menu items.
2. From the Adobe menu, point to PhotoDeluxe Home Edition 4.0.
   NOTE:If the PhotoDeluxe Home Edition 4.0. folder is not visible from the Adobe menu, click the double arrows at the bottom of the menu to display the remaining menu items.
3. From the PhotoDeluxe Home Edition 4.0 menu, click Uninstall Adobe PhotoDeluxe Home Edition 4.0.
4. At the "Confirm File Deletion" box, click Yes. Please wait as the program files and components are uninstalled.
5. If a "Remove Shared File?" box appears, click Yes To All.
6. If a "Remove Shared File?" confirmation box appears, click Yes to proceed.
7. If an "'Adobe PhotoDeluxe Home Edition 4.0' has been removed from your system" message appears, click OK.
8. If the "Remove Programs From Your Computer" box is still open, click OK to close it.
9. Restart the computer.

Download And Installation Instructions

After Adobe PhotoDeluxe has been uninstalled, please follow the steps below to install the ADOSAMP.EXE program.

1. Insert the Application Recovery CD #1 into the DVDROM / CDRW drive.
2. At the "Welcome to the Sony Application Installation CD" screen, click OK.
3. At the "Sony Application Recovery Program" box, click Quit.
4. At the "Sony Application Recovery Program" confirmation box, click OK to exit. Leave the Application Recovery CD in the drive.
5. Click the "Go to Step 2. Software Agreement" link at the bottom of this page.
6. Read the Software License Agreement and click "Accept."
7. Download the ADOSAMP.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
8. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the ADOSAMP.EXE file to begin the installation.
9. At the "Adobe Sample Viewer Patch 1.0.0.1 - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Next. A "Please Wait" message box will appear on the screen as the update uncompresses the Adobe PhotoDeluxe files from the Recovery CD. Please wait as the extraction process will take several minutes. The PhotoDeluxe installation files will be extracted to the D: drive. Once finished, the Adobe PhotoDeluxe Home Edition 4.0 Setup program will launch.
10. At the "Adobe PhotoDeluxe Home Edition 4.0 Setup" box, click Next.
11. At the "Select Country" box, verify that the box next to "US and Canada" is selected and click Next.
12. At the "Software License Agreement" box, click Accept to continue with the installation.
13. At the "Adobe PhotoDeluxe Home Edition 4.0 Setup" box, verify that the boxes next to "PhotoDeluxe Home Edition 4.0 Files" and "Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 Files" are selected and click Next.
14. At the "User Information" box, enter your Name (and Company, if applicable) in the appropriate fields and click Next.
15. At the next "Adobe PhotoDeluxe Home Edition 4.0 Setup" box, verify the registration information is correct and click Yes.
16. At the "Adobe PhotoDeluxe Home Edition 4.0 Setup has enough information..." screen, click Next to start copying files. Please wait as the PhotoDeluxe and Acrobat Reader programs are installed.
17. At the "Register Adobe PhotoDeluxe Home Edition 4.0" box, click the box next to "Register Adobe PhotoDeluxe Home Edition 4.0" to clear the check box. (You can register the software later by selecting...).
18. Click Finish to complete the installation.
19. At the "Setup Complete" box, verify "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" is selected and click Finish.

After the computer restarts, the installation process is complete.

This patch resolves the issue where the Error Message: "This file does not exist" appears when attempting to open sample photos.

• Before installing this update, you will need to have the Application Recovery CD #1 available. You will also need to have the DVDROM or CDRW drive inserted in the notebook's internal drive bay.
• This update requires that drive (D:) is a valid hard disk partition. If you have repartitioned the hard drive and removed the default D: partition, this update will not install correctly.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
